Advantage Waterproof Communication Systems

The lightweight, economy alternative to the Neptune range

In response to requests from customers, we have introduced the Advantage range of communications - still waterproof to I.P.67, but about one-third of the price of the standard Neptune range.

Moulded ABS forms the outer protection, in place of the heavy duty GRP.  Cable glands and rubber-bodied connectors replace the military connectors of the Neptune equipment.

AdaptaCom
Detachable earpiece/boom microphone assembly to suit lightweight marine helmet.  Suitable for organisations using only a limited number of helmets at any one time.  The units are interchangeable between helmets and are supplied in customers' choice of either left or right-hand fit.

Units illustrated:  (left) to suit Gecko Mk9 helmet   (centre) to suit Gecko Mk10 helmet.  (right) AdaptaCom with integral PTT control shown fitted internally to Gecko full-face helmet with microphone in chin guard.  Units to suit other helmets now in development.

 
Lightweight PTT Control Waterproof body-worn in-line PTT control for 'hands free' operation.  Fitted with a stainless steel clothing clip.
Intercom Unit

Waterproof unit allows full intercom facility between all crew members while monitoring the main radio.  All messages transmitted on the VHF can be heard by all the crew.  The system is designed to allow one designated operator, or any number of the crew to transmit on the VHF.  The input volume from the VHF is adjustable.  The output level from the control box is variable, so that alternative radios can be used in the future.
Remote Helmet Socket Remote waterproof helmet socket with individual volume control, for fitting at each crew member's station.  Non-latching, rubber-bodied socket allows easy emergency disconnection.
